Hey Seattle, How’s the Weather? Forecasting Downtown Seattle’s Future
We recently spoke to Seattleites at Downtown events to learn about how they think arts and culture, housing, and jobs should shape Downtown in the future. Their ideas will guide our team’s work on the Seattle Downtown Urban Centers Plan!
As part of this work, Agency is collaborating with artist LeLeita McKill to bring the perspectives of artists and creatives more closely into engagement, recommendations and policies. In collaboration with Seva Workshop, Biederman Redevelopment Ventures, and BAE, the team is creating a technical analysis that addresses many topics, including climate change and adaptation to improve health equity and ecology, housing to meet Seattle’s future needs and avoid displacement, and an analysis of land use and development patterns for long term resilience.
