We seek a landscape designer or landscape architect with strong technical skills and a passion for the public realm. We are looking for applicants who are organized and detail-oriented, who love to sketch ideas, iterate design alternatives, and enjoy working in teams. Specifically, we are searching for an individual with 4-6 years of experience developing construction documents and participating in construction administration. The role will require a commitment to consistent collaboration and communication within our team and our design partners as well as the ability to dig deeply into technical research and problem-solving.
Systems Thinker: Urban Designer/Planner – Entry Level
We seek an urban planner with an interest in designing urban systems and community engagement. We are looking for team members who can synthesize data into clear ideas, use imagery to tell a beautiful story, and – importantly! – enjoy collaborating on interdisciplinary design teams. The role will rely upon capabilities in visual communication, writing, and storytelling as well as abilities to deploy strategic planning tools to map, analyze, and represent urban systems (community demographics, land use, transportation, urban form, natural systems, etc).
Landscape Designer (Cambridge MA)
Assist in the design and construction of projects at various scales and predominantly in the public realm; Maintain an organized and detail-oriented process, to sketch ideas and iterate design alternatives with the team, to pursue the craft of landscape detailing, and to develop construction documents; Require a commitment to consistent collaboration and communication within our team and our design partners as well as the ability to dig deeply into technical research and problem-solving; Leverage strong abilities in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and digital modeling in both the creation of physical design documents but also to assist in communicating and engaging with the public on large-scale planning projects. Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, 1 month’s training on Landscape Design, and 5 months experience in landscape designer. Software Skills: AutoCAD, Rhino, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite; Design Skills: Develop landscape architecture construction details, create illustrative perspective and plan rendering, build analog and digital site models, conduct public engagement.
