We’re Back in Council Bluffs for Belle’s Play Garden
Agency is thrilled to be continuing a near decade-long collaboration at Tom Hanafan Rivers Edge Park! The project, ‘Belle’s Play Garden’, is a partnership between The Go Play Initiative (founders: the Knudtson and Davidson families), The Iowa West Foundation, Back to the River Inc., Monstrum, and Agency Landscape + Planning. The Play Garden is a continuation of today’s nearly 90-acre public park, featuring a series of Missouri River-Inspired play and educational elements, interpretive seating and rich native planting. The site is also situated within series of interactive and playful water elements—a water wall, scrim pool, bubblers, jets plaza and fog features–all designed to embrace the river and surrounding ecologies. This past week, Belle’s Play Garden received unanimous support and approval by the Council Bluff’s City Council and is set for completion in Spring 2021.
