Unfurling Potential Futures for the Emerald Ribbon

This week, Agency, its partners at Siglo Group and University Neighborhood Partners, and its client at Salt Lake City Public Lands are unfurling a series of potential futures for the Emerald Ribbon, a ten-mile stretch of the Jordan River.

A critical step in the ongoing Action Plan, the community’s input has informed three design concepts: Meandering Moments, Dynamic Districts and River Ribbons. We welcome all to join us in two public open houses, details below. Or feel free to share your thoughts on each option via an online survey, here.

Feedback generated on the three concepts will be synthesized over the coming months into a vision for the corridor, and it will also provide a roadmap for Salt Lake City to achieve that vision. This includes recommendations for policy, guidelines for how the river should be maintained, and a schedule for improvements over the next decade.
