Two Coasts, Two Talks: Brie and Gina Discuss Forging New Paths at APA and UVA

Agency at the APA National Conference
On Sunday, April 14th, Brie will be joining five women planners to discuss the real challenges and rewards of private practice, sharing their perspectives on success and accomplishment in a candid, facilitated discussion. The panel includes Fiona M. Akins of New York City Parks & Recreation, Silvia E. Vargas of Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc., Rebecca Leonard of Lionheart Places,  Ellen Lou of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Kathryn Firth of NBBJ. With a glass ceiling still firmly intact, a cultural crisis of workplace harassment, and continued failure to provide adequate paid parental leave, what does it take to succeed in today’s planning practice? Five leaders in their field will discuss and debate the measures of and road to professional growth, fulfillment, and leadership. Check it out!
