Congratulations to the incredible Town Branch Park team, who exceeded a $34M fundraising goal and last week broke ground (literally, with an excavator!) on a new 10-acre park at the heart of downtown Lexington, KY. Over the last three years, more than 16,000 voices from all over the Bluegrass region have helped to ground a vision for a world-class community gathering space reflective of Lexington’s unique character and spirit. Over the next two years, we look forward to seeing a talented construction team, led by Dean Builds, transform this asphalt parking lot into a robust riparian ecosystem and vibrant community front porch.
Agency’s Kate Tooke, while a Principal at Sasaki, led the design of the park, and continues to guide the implementation, alongside collaborators at Sasaki, the TBP team and a deep bench of subconsultants, including Strand Engineering, Rabun Architects, Carman, EHI, Olsson, the Fountain People, Earthscape, Theatre Projects, and Agora Partners.

And stay tuned for construction updates on the road to a ribbon cutting projected in summer 2025!
