Three Cheers for the Bay Park Conservancy!

Guided by a community-driven master plan and building on the success of the phase one park, the Bay Park Conservancy continues to advance its vision of a signature waterfront park – “One Bay for All” of Sarasota.

A first cheer acknowledges an incredible third anniversary celebration of the phase one park! Thousands gathered for a series of diverse experiences in the park over the month of October. From sunset celebrations to great music, the ‘Common Ground’ lived up to its name!

A second cheer recognizes the ribbon cutting for a second phase of work – the “front door” to The Bay along North Tamiami Trail. The new 1,000-foot-long, 16-foot-wide Promenade, flanked by 20-foot Royal Palms and canopy trees, connects three of Sarasota’s iconic landmark buildings.

A third cheer honors the Bay Park Conservancy’s advancement – through major approval and funding successes – of the Park’s third phase. This will include major infrastructure and visitor experience improvements to the project’s boat launch and a significant new heart of the park.
