The Sarasota Bayfront Master Plan is honored by BSLA
The Boston Society of Landscape Architects announced the 2021 BSLA Award winners on a live, virtual event on Monday, June 28. We are delighted that Sasaki and Agency were awarded an Analysis & Planning Merit Award for The Sarasota Bayfront Master Plan!
The jury noted:
“The jury appreciated the compelling, clear, and lovely drawings, which very successfully expressed the project and its process, particularly in terms of community engagement. In an effort which represents an extraordinary transformation of a challenged community asset, the jury applauded the team’s efforts to pay attention to the whole community; in the end tying together a new, diverse demographic.”
Congratulations to our client team, The Bay Park Conservancy, and the Sarasota community for advocating for the creation of this iconic, public destination!
The master plan was led by Sasaki and Agency – and is the work of an incredible team including Kimley-Horn, Sweet Sparkman Architects, Moffatt & Nichol, Edgewater Resources, HLB Lighting, HR&A Advisors and Zaragunda.
