The Mangrove Walk at Sarasota’s The Bay – Revealed
We are loving these photos of Sarasota’s The Bay mangrove walk by Ryan Gamma Photography and Jennifer Johnston! The mangrove walk and kayak launch opened in late 2021 as an early effort of a much larger 10-acre first phase, which is currently under construction and scheduled to open in October 2022.
The mangrove walk features ecological placemaking experiences, including: a restored wetland, a kayak launch, an interpretive seating element near an osprey perch, a pedestrian bridge over the mangrove bayou, and seating areas within cabbage palm and oak groves.
