The Albina Vision Community Investment Plan Launches!
We are honored to announce that Agency is part of a team, led by El Dorado, selected for a creative planning commission in the heart of Portland. The Albina Vision Community Investment Plan seeks to transform 90+ acres of East Portland waterfront and address decades of racial injustice into a dynamic site for Black re-entrification. For the last few months, we’ve started working closely with Albina Vision Trust, a nonprofit organization focused on equitable development and wealth building in Lower Albina, to thoughtfully launch this planning process.
Agency will assist planning and lead public realm design and landscape architecture. The incredible team also includes: Othello Meadows leading community engagement efforts; Cleo Davis & Kayin Talton Davis for community engagement, serving as lead artists and bringing historic and policy-based research to the process; Dru Holley leading film production; Marc Norman and ECONorthwest providing economic analysis and community wealth building strategies; and WeShouldDoItAll for website design.
We are excited to be part of this, believing that this project is pivotal to the future of Portland’s cultural landscape and a powerful response to the sense of urgency we all feel across America.
