Texas-bound: Gina is this year’s Kwallek Endowed Chair
Starting this January, Gina will be the Dr. Nancy Panak Kwallek Endowed Chair in Design and Planning at the University of Texas at Austin. She’ll be teaching an Advanced Design studio for final year landscape architecture and architecture students alongside assistant professor Maggie Hansen, called “A Feminist Lens on Franklin.” We are excited to bring Agency to Texas and collaborate with the talented students at UT Austin.

“Named in honor of Professor Kwallek, the longtime director of the school’s Interior Design Program and inaugural holder of the Gene Edward Mikeska Endowed Chair for Interior Design, the endowed chair will support visiting instructors who are practitioners from design and planning fields… As the first faculty endowment named in honor of a woman faculty member at the School of Architecture, it will affirm the school’s commitment to gender equality, and celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of women in design.”
We are honored that Gina will be following in the footsteps of Professor Kwallek, matching Agency’s mission as a feminist practice.
