In keeping with Agency’s core mission of addressing environmental resilience through design excellence, strategic planning and community empowerment, Agency was honored to have Susannah Ross serve on the Urban Land Institute Advisory Services panel looking at urban waterfront resilience in Miami this past June.
The panel made a series of concrete recommendations to the sponsors, City of Miami and the Miami Downtown Development Authority, offering a road-map for improving the resilience of the city’s waterfront and mitigating the effects of sea level rise along Biscayne Bay and the Miami River. One of the emergent recommendations is to take advantage of the landward and seaward recommendations already developed by our friends at Savino & Miller Design Studio.
Check out some of the panel’s recommendations on Downtown Miami’s twitter feed, the City of Miami’s twitter feed (video!), the City of Miami’s Resilience Update, and an article in the Miami Herald, among others.
