Sarasota’s The Bay Opens With 10 Days at the Bay
After years of planning, design and construction, we’re thrilled to share that Sarasota’s The Bay has opened an exciting phase! Located on the southern 10-acre edge of the 53-acre future completed park, this phase includes a concessions building and plaza, a community lawn, beach and living breakwater, interpretive learning/seating decks, intimate oval garden, an ibis play sculpture, and paddle launch. The first weekend of the celebration included non-stop programming – from educational nature walks to shaded Zumba classes to vibrant concerts!
Sarasota’s The Bay is a partnership between The Bay Park Conservancy, The City of Sarasota, Jon F. Swift Construction, DreamLarge, owner’s representative Jenn Stutler, and the Agency team, including: Sweet Sparkman Architecture and Interiors, Kimley-Horn, Sasaki, HLB Lighting, Studio Ummo, Engineering Matrix, Moffatt & Nichol, Cummins Cederberg, HR&A Advisors, Monstrum, and Zaragunda. Special pop-up elements brought to the waterfront thanks to Dix.Hite and The Urban Conga.
