Agency is thrilled to be leading the renovation of Thomas Polk Park, a 1/3 acre public plaza at the heart of Charlotte’s Uptown, on the northwest corner of Trade and Tryon streets.
“Charlotte’s crossroads at ‘Main and Main’ should represent the City’s premier public space—welcoming all by providing an iconic destination. One that is highly functional, flexible for a wide range of events, and most importantly, a beautifully crafted urban place,” said Tracy Dodson, Assistant City Manager and Director of Economic Development for the City of Charlotte.
“Polk Park’s location, at the heart of our city, offers an incredible opportunity for us to create a place to bring people together,” said Michael J. Smith, president and CEO of Charlotte Center City Partners. “We envision this will become one of Charlotte’s most treasured and unique places.”
