The City of Palm Springs is bringing the community together through an exciting update of its Parks & Recreation Master Plan. Led by Kounkuey Design Initiative (KDI), and in collaboration with Agency, Pros Consulting, and ETC Institute, the city is gathering resident input to create a more vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable parks system.
Dozens of locals have already participated in workshops at Palm Springs Sunrise Park Community Center, James O. Jessie Desert Highland Unity Center, Palm Springs Downtown Park, and many more. These workshops have brought together parents, students, seniors, and more to share their dreams for the park system – from adding a roller rink to expanding pickleball courts. The next opportunity for community engagement is in October 2024.
Join us in Palm Springs to share your ideas for the future of the parks system! And, if you are interested in learning more about the project, visit our project page.
You can also find updates and ways to engage in the planning process by visiting the Palm Springs Park and Recreation Department’s website or the Master Plan website.
