Our Summer Interns are Bringing the Heat!

We couldn’t be happier to have five wonderful interns join Agency this summer. Please join us in welcoming:

Angela Zhang

Angela Zhang is a landscape design intern from Vancouver, Canada. She is currently studying for her Master’s of Landscape Architecture at UBC’s School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, where she also received her Bachelor’s of Environmental Design. Drawn to the intersection between ecology, culture, and craft, Angela strives to deepen her understanding on the meaning of place and community in our rapidly changing world. Throughout her studies and work, she is interested in reframing the complexity of ecological-human relationships to instill caring and thoughtful stewardship of our landscapes. In her off-time, Angela enjoys eating breakfast, listening to live music, and skiing.

Kelvin Vu

Kelvin Vu is a summer landscape designer interested in the intersection of the performing arts and built environments. He is a recent graduate of the architecture and landscape architecture programs at the University of Pennsylvania, where his work included running up and down piles of trash, dancing over fallen trees, and reenacting the historic workshops of Lawrence and Anna Halprin. His background includes an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from Yale, training at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, and experience as a professional dancer. Outside of the office, you can find Kelvin dancing, ice skating, climbing, or searching for new adventures.

Mabelle Zhang

Mabelle Zhang is a summer urban planner and recently received her Master of City Planning at MIT with a certificate in Urban Design and a development focus. With a background in policy, housing, and real estate development, she has worked across government agencies and nonprofits. Mabelle focuses on creating resilient and vibrant public spaces and neighborhoods by blending systems thinking with a deep understanding of local context. Her work explores the intersection of climate resiliency, economic development, and long-term community outcomes. In her free time, Mabelle enjoys cultivating her yoga practice and searching for the perfect cup of coffee.

Olivia Gardner-Parlow

Olivia Gardner-Parlow is a marketing intern and nature and wildlife photographer dedicated to using creative and visual mediums to communicate a variety of stories. A two-time graduate of the University of St Andrews, she received her Master of Arts (Honours) in Modern History and Master of Letters in Environmental History, specializing in polar and South Pacific exploration, whaling, and invasive species management. Olivia brings her passion for using data and analytics to create meaningful marketing campaigns and engage with diverse audiences to Agency. A supporter of Liverpool F.C., she can be found volunteering at film festivals, ice skating, playing guitar, and building custom mechanical keyboards in her free time.

Wallace Cotton

Wallace Cotton is a summer urban planner and interdisciplinary professional interested in the nexus of urban planning, design, and behavioral psychology. He is passionate about making refuge easily accessible in cities and believes in supporting public life, collective agency, non-human ecologies, and the embedded history of places to do so. Originally from New York City, Wallace also brings UX, content strategy, and research to his spatial practice. He recently completed his Master in Urban Planning at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. After work, you can find him biking, plane-spotting, or finding awe—from solo hikes to humble neighborhood strolls.
