Nothing goes together like ice pops, post-its, and parks in Charleston
After several months spent in focused community-led conversations with communities across Charleston County, South Carolina, we are excited for a week of countywide engagement with the Charleston County Parks and Recreation Commission (Charleston County Parks)!
From July 19th to the 21st, we are beating the heat in libraries and schools across Charleston County for seven evening public workshops! As Charleston County grows and becomes more diverse, we are working with Charleston County Parks to imagine a future filled with relevant programs, resilient and accessible parks that are connected to neighborhoods, and community destinations. Called the Parks and Recreation For All! Plan, or PARFA, this plan will identify investment priorities for the next ten years. In partnership with ALTA Planning + Design, BerryDunn, Community Solutions Consulting, and Rocket Solutions, the PARFA team is crafting an innovative set of recommendations and facilitating robust community engagement to reach every corner of the county, including through these workshops!
