Join us as we “Imagine the Possibilities” for Sarasota’s Bayfront!
This week, we will be in Sarasota for our first open houses for the Bayfront Master Plan. We will be seeking public input for opportunities to create a master plan to “ensure it will be an enlivened, cultural destination with open, public access to the bayfront”.
In 2017, The Sarasota Bay Planning Organization (SBPO) hired Sasaki to lead a master planning and design process to transform the 53-acre city-owned area around the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, known as ‘The Bay,’ into a world class waterfront. Sasaki and Agency Landscape + Planning, is leading the planning, landscape architectural design, architectural design, and engineering for the project. Our team includes favorite collaborators Kimley-Horn, Baird, Moffit and Nichol, HR&A Advisors, Kathy Blaha, and Chris Wangro. We are also thrilled to be working with AtLarge Inc., an innovative communications and engagement practice based in Sarasota! The masterplan is slated for completion in 2018.
