Susannah will be in Palm Springs, California on November 13-14, for The Cultural Landscape Foundation’s Icons of Modernism Excursion. A prelude to the ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture in San Diego Nov. 15-18, the Icons of Modernism Excursion will feature a tour of Sunnylands, the 200 acre estate of Ambassador and Mrs. Walter Annenberg. As part of the excursion, the group will also visit the gardens at the Charney Residence.
On the tour, Susannah will explore Sunnylands’ recent rehabilitation by CMG Landscape, which elegantly addresses sustainability and preservation. This exceptional landscape, which most recently includes engineered wetlands and drought-tolerant landscaping, has a long history of international diplomacy. Susannah will be following in Queen Elizabeth II, President Barack Obama, and many other world leaders, royalty, and famous visitors’ footsteps!
And don’t forget to bid in TCLF’s silent auction to win outstanding works of art by landscape architects, architects, artists, photographer, and others – starting now, online, and on Nov. 16-17 at the ASLA Conference!
