Design Progress at Sarasota’s Bay Park, Phase One!

With the Mangrove Trail nearing completion (a full post and update coming soon!), we’re deep into the design and implementation of the next phase of Sarasota’s Bay Park. Located inland and on the southern 10-acre edge of the 53-acre future completed park, this phase includes a concessions building and plaza, 30’ spiral shade structure, a community lawn, beach, interpretive learning/seating decks, intimate oval garden, an ibis play sculpture, and paddle launch.

Sarasota’s Bay Park is a partnership between The Bay Park Conservancy, The City of Sarasota, John F. Swift Construction, At Large Inc, owner’s representative Jenn Stutler and the Agency team, including: Sweet Sparkman Architecture and Interiors, Kimley-Horn, Sasaki, HLB Lighting, Studio Ummo, Engineering Matrix, Moffatt & Nichol, Cummins Cederberg, HR&A Advisors, Monstrum and Zaragunda. Construction is currently underway and will be completed in June 2022.
