Celebrating Our Summer Interns
This summer, Agency was joined by four amazing interns: Quinn Adam, Kendal Eastwood, Hayden Germanis, and Jaewoo Kang. Each of them worked on numerous projects, ranging from creating axons and renders to engagement and marketing materials. They also got the opportunity to go on site visits and participate in community engagement events. Through the BSLA Intern Outings, they were able to meet interns from other firms and explore projects throughout the Boston area.
Quinn Adam
Quinn Adam is a landscape design intern and an interdisciplinary designer currently pursuing Master of Architecture and Master of Landscape Architecture degrees at the Sam Fox School at Washington University in St. Louis. Raised in Colorado, their design work explores intersections between landscape, architecture, and infrastructure that promote environmental justice and ecological resilience. Quinn’s background in the humanities from Kenyon College, where they received a BA in Philosophy, grounds their design process in critical thinking and supports their exploration of the essential relationships between humans and the ecologies that sustain us. After work, you can find them watching soccer, exploring new parks and neighborhoods on their bike, or visiting with the neighborhood trees.
Kendal Eastwood
Kendal Eastwood is an urban planning intern and designer pursuing a Master in Urban Planning at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. His work is shaped by an upbringing in a rural town, informing his interest in community based design, housing ownership, and resilient development. Before urban planning, Kendal earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology, with two minors in Energy Science, Technology & Policy and Equity & Innovation. Outside of work, Kendal enjoys exploring new cities, baking unique sourdough bread, and testing himself with puzzles of all kinds.
Hayden Germanis
Hayden Germanis is a landscape design intern and recent graduate of the University of Florida’s Bachelor of Landscape Architecture program. His passion for resilient landscapes is shaped by his experience living in Southwest Florida and observing the effects of rapid development and extreme storms. As a student, he researched and advocated for vulnerable cultural landscapes along the Gulf Coast. Hayden enjoys engaging with underserved communities and supporting their cultural landscapes in professional practice. Outside of the office, Hayden enjoys community gardening, urban sketching, and riding his bike.
Jaewoo Kwang
Jaewoo Kang is a landscape design intern currently pursuing a Master of Landscape Architecture at the University of Virginia. He brings experience in landscape design-build practice in South Korea, where he has contributed to projects ranging from urban public spaces to private indoor gardens. Across his work, Jaewoo seeks to balance aesthetic clarity, ecological performance, and practical implementation through design processes that connect concept development, visual communication, and construction coordination. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, walking in nature, and documenting his experiences through photography.
We are grateful to have gotten the opportunity to watch them grow, not only as people, but as designers and planners too. While we are sad to see them go, once an agent, always an agent!
