Catch up on WxLA’s Wednesday Walks for Women’s History Month!

Last month, WxLA and ASLA partnered for Women’s History Month on a series, “WxLA Wednesday Walks”, where six incredible women leaders in landscape architecture gave Instagram Live tours of landscapes they have designed across the country. Agency and WxLA’s Gina Ford introduced and facilitated Q&A for the tours of Little Island (Signe Nielsen, Mathews Nielsen Landscape Architects) and Crest Lake Park (Chris Hite, Dix.Hite + Partners). Agency and WxLA’s Elsa Mark-Ng worked behind the scenes – and made a brief appearance with Gina! – to organize and launch the walks. We were inspired by each tour and can’t wait to someday visit in person!

We want to give a BIG thank you to everyone at ASLA – Lisa Jennings, Manny Gonzalez, Kristopher Pritchard, and Eugenia Martin – and especially social media expert Jenny Frenkel, who guided us through Instagram Live and made last month a success!

Also, a HUGE thank you to each of the tour guides and their camera operators: Signe Nielsen and Erika Aiese of MNLA, Allison Colwell and Michelle Shelor of Colwell Shelor, Hana Ishikawa and Brad McCauley of site, Christy Ten Eyck and Stephanie Saulmon of TELA, Chris Hite, Hillary Roedell, and Whitney Tidd of Dix.Hite, and Patricia Algara and Siobhan Hussey of BASE. And finally, we are grateful to the other co-founders of WxLA who hosted and facilitated Q&A: Cinda Gilliland, Rebecca Leonard, and Steven Spears.
