Burlington’s Open Space Plan: What the People Want to See!

The first wave of engagement for the 2025 Burlington Open Space Plan is up and running! Burlington has a long legacy of caring for its open spaces, which total almost half of its geographic area. It’s interwoven into the fabric of the city, from edge to edge, river to lake, and includes spaces not only for people to enjoy but also to support a thriving and regionally-significant wildlife ecosystem. The beautiful art included in these materials was created by Christine Tyler Hill, an artist, Burlington resident, and local champion of open space. The Plan will record the city’s open spaces, set new goals, and create a clear roadmap for future improvements that relies on the input of Burlingtonians to make sure their vision is incorporated. We’re excited to hear what they have to share, both in person and in an online survey! Learn more about the project on our website page, here and check out upcoming engagement events on the City’s website, here.
