Baltimore-Bound: Agency Talks Great Park Design with NRPA
In conjunction with this month’s upcoming National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA) Annual Conference in Baltimore and inspired by the NRPA’s new tagline – “Because Everyone Deserves a Great Park” – Gina, Mike Abbate FASLA of Abbate Design and Joe Webb RLA of AECOM are helping to define what exactly makes a park great! Their beginning thoughts are captured in this month’s NRPA Magazine in a feature called “Designing the Great Park that Everyone Deserves” .
Using a three-part framework – Design Principles, Cultural Influences and Emerging Trends – Mike, Joe and Gina offer concrete strategies and examples for park planners, designers and stewards.
