We are thrilled to welcome our newest Urban Planner, Abby Jamiel, to the Agency team!
Abby has led many lives before becoming an Urban Planner. She has taught overseas both as a volunteer with WorldTeach in Ongewdiva, Namibia and as a U.S Fulbright recipient in Polokwane, South Africa. Her experience abroad, as well as her time spent in the hospitality and fitness industries, forced her to examine who makes decisions about what goes where, when, and how. She is a graduate of Ithaca College with a degree in Art History, and the Harvard University Graduate School of Design with a Masters in Urban Planning with concentrations in Urban Design and International Development. Her interest lies in using planning, design, and art to heal community trauma and curb the climate crisis. She is specifically interested in how issues of climate migration, public space, civil resistance, and justice interlock. Outside of work, she enjoys aimlessly walking through neighborhoods, painting, traveling to new places, and exercising.
Join us in welcoming Abby!
