Systems Thinker: Urban Designer/Planner – Entry Level
We seek a junior urban or landscape planner with an interest in designing urban systems and community engagement. We are looking for team members who can synthesize data into clear ideas, use imagery to tell a beautiful story, and – importantly! – enjoy collaborating on interdisciplinary design teams. Candidates with urban planning, urban design or landscape architecture backgrounds welcome! The role will rely upon capabilities in visual communication, writing, and storytelling as well as abilities to deploy strategic planning tools to map, analyze and represent urban systems (community demographics, land use, transportation, urban form, natural systems, etc). Strong skills in ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite, research and writing are necessary. Digital modeling and graphic design skills are desired.
Place Maker: Landscape Architect/Designer – Entry Level
We seek an entry level landscape designer or landscape architect with strong graphic skills and a passion for the public realm. We are looking for applicants who are organized and detail-oriented, who love to sketch ideas, iterate design alternatives, enjoy working in teams, and want to learn about construction documents. The role will require a commitment to consistent collaboration and communication within our team and our design partners as well as the ability to dig deeply into technical research and problem-solving. Strong abilities in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and digital modeling are required. Fluency in Revit is a bonus.
Systems Thinker: Urban Planner – Summer 2019 Intern
Agency is seeking an urban planning intern for Summer 2019. We are looking for an intern who is interested in working with our team on projects ranging from large scale regional plans to downtown riverfronts to urban park master plans. The role will include writing, project research, data analysis and mapping, community engagement opportunities, visualization, and story-telling. Agency is a passionate and hands-on team; the internship role will include opportunities to learn and work closely with all team members.
We are visual thinkers who value words, images and data in equal parts. The ideal candidate will be enrolled in, or recently completed, an urban planning degree program. Strong skills in ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite, research and writing are necessary. Digital modeling and graphic design skills are a bonus. The internship is paid and has the potential to extend into a full-time role.
