We are thrilled to announce that Tatyana Vashchenko is being honored today at the Council for Educators in Landscape Architecture’s (CELA) Annual Conference as the recipient of the 2019 Student Award for Creative Scholarship.
This award is an acknowledgement of the work she led at the University of Washington’s College of the Built Environment working with faculty advisors Ken Yocom, Chair and Nancy Rottle, Professor. According to CELA, this award recognizes a student’s outstanding performance in creative scholarship and represents the highest level of recognition CELA can bestow on a landscape architecture student. The project – entitled Between City and Sea – examined the various potentials of aquaculture. Check out the full thesis here.
To make the whole thing a bit sweeter, the ceremony is happening in her hometown of Sacramento, California!
Congratulations, Tatyana!
