A Play Garden Nearing Completion: A Decade Long Collaboration Continues!
We’re nearing completion of Belles’ Play Garden! This fall, our team has been busy overseeing the construction of the next phase of River’s Edge Park. As part of this effort we’ve been selecting and siting granite elements, overseeing grading and drainage strategies, tagging plants, and collaborating and reviewing on mock-ups of site elements and materials. The Play Garden is a continuation of a decade-long collaboration at Tom Hanafan River’s Edge Park in Council Bluffs, IA. The site features a series of Missouri River inspired play and educational elements, interpretive seating, and diverse native planting. The project is a collaboration between SINC, The Go Play Initiative, The Iowa West Foundation, The City of Council Bluffs, Back to the River Inc., Monstrum, Alvine, Meco Henne Contracting, and Agency Landscape + Planning. Belles’ Play Garden will open this coming spring (2022)!
