A Community-driven Space for Roxbury’s Dewitt Center Plaza
Engagement is under way to envision the future of the Dewitt Center Plaza in Lower Roxbury! Agency is working with Madison Park Development Corporation (MPDC), a leading developer of affordable housing and one of the largest non-profit community development corporations in Massachusetts, to activate the plaza and make it a comfortable space that meets the needs of all residents. MPDC’s mission is to foster a vibrant, healthy Roxbury neighborhood that supports the well-being and advancement of the community. Their approach focuses on impactful programming for youth development, health and wellness, public safety, resident leadership, civic engagement, and arts & culture.
This past weekend, we talked with community members at Black Market’s Buy the Block Party in the Nubian Square District, and early this week we held an internal design charette at our office!
