A Bright Future for Brightmoor!
Agency – alongside Detroit’s Planning and Development Department and our team at Sherwood Design Engineers, Toole Design, Nick Tobier, El Dorado, The Meadows Group, and Alexandra Miller Consulting – is working to develop a comprehensive neighborhood framework plan for the Brightmoor area in northwest Detroit. The plan includes identifying strategies for vacant public land landscapes, parks, housing redevelopment, economic development, and Green Stormwater Infrastructure.
Currently in Phase 4 of the project, we are developing implementation recommendations and working towards a final framework plan document. The overall recommendations expected should promote diverse housing options, elevate neighborhood vibrancy, propose sustainable uses for vacant land, and address stormwater/flooding issues that hamper the region.
