Ready, Set, Launch! The White River Vision Plan Kicks Off a Week Long Celebration
We are excited to announce the public unveiling of the White River Vision Plan! Join us at 9 a.m on June 3 for a public press conference in the Indianapolis Art Center, the first in a series of events and activities taking place between June 3 and 7. The week long celebration of the plan will include a White River Cleanup, Drop-In Art Activities, waterfront dining specials, a series of short film screenings, a Canoe to Work Day, Yoga in the Park and several riverside concerts throughout Indianapolis and Hamilton County. Building upon 12 months of research, discovery and development by our robust team of experts, both local and national, the White River Vision Plan culminates in a document that identifies and envisions enhancements for 58 miles of the White River. The final plan will highlight areas along the river slated for new destinations, recreational assets, restoration and preservation, areas chosen based on ecological, economic, historical and cultural significance and important nearby neighborhoods.
