Riding the Wave at Shipyards West Park!
Agency is leading a team of designers, planners, engineers, and engagement specialists to design Shipyards West Park, in support of the City of Jacksonville’s ongoing riverfront renaissance.
Over the summer, we completed design development of a series of project components. We are excited to see all the park elements come to life – the events pavilion, flexible plaza, central lawn, playground area, sandy beach, boardwalk, fishing pier, paddle boat launch, and recreational rooms.
Last month, the community came out to see the latest updates with our partners and stakeholders in Jacksonville at a bustling open house at the Jacksonville Public Library.
As one of a number of projects recently completed or starting construction along Jacksonville’s Riverwalk, The Shipyards West will join them as an extension of public space, an enhancement of downtown life, a celebration of the city’s shipbuilding history, and a great neighbor on the St. Johns River.
