Kate Tooke joins Agency as a Principal, Landscape Architect
With past collaborations with Agency leadership on the High Line Canal Vision Plan and city-wide GamePlan Update in Denver, Colorado, the Gulf State Park Master Plan and implementation in Alabama, and the Rebuild by Design Competition in New Jersey, an extensive portfolio of cutting edge urban park design and construction and deep expertise in play environments, Kate will enhance and expand our ability to impact communities with engaged design.
Kate has focused her career on the intersection of community and public space. She leverages a diverse background as an educator, an engineer and a landscape architect into a practice unabashedly passionate about connecting people to the urban environment. Kate’s listening-oriented approach to project leadership as well as her strategic thinking, design eye, and technical acumen have been instrumental in the success of diverse projects ranging from master planning to site-scale work and extending coast to coast. She is a prominent national voice in the movement towards contextual adventure playgrounds.
Today, Kate is leading numerous projects at Agency including the Stamford Mill River Play Space, the Robbins Park Play Space in Arlington, Massachusetts, ongoing work with the Town Branch Park team in Lexington, Kentucky and work at the Charlestown Navy Yard.
